To edit your manuscript, we'll follow the Three Act structure. We'll take a look at the beats inside the three acts and see how they line up. This is the pacing check. This may mean we have to move scenes around, add/delete scenes, or make scenes more exciting! Typically, this edit is the very first edit performed on any manuscript.
We'll also do a careful examination of plot. What can be strengthened? What can be removed? What is inconsistent? How can we up the stakes? This includes a check of each scene for any discrepancies. By the end, your plot, your pacing, and your scenes will be flawless.
